About Waypoint

Waypoint is a free web directory — an organised record of active websites across 22 categories. The idea is simple: the web is large and loosely mapped, and a well-kept directory gives browsers a reliable starting point for finding sites in a particular field.

The directory currently holds 830 entries, each logged by its domain and primary category. Sections cover the major territories of the online world: healthcare, legal services, technology, travel, finance, food and drink, and more. The catch-all section, Assorted & General, captures sites that do not fit neatly into a single category.

Waypoint does not rank or rate the sites it lists. Each entry is a record, not a recommendation — a filed domain pointing outward to a live site. Browsers are expected to assess each site on its own terms once they arrive.

Submitting a site to Waypoint is free and takes under a minute. Fill in your domain, select the relevant category, and your site enters the queue for review. The directory grows with every new submission filed and accepted.

The project is maintained as a public index of the working web — a ledger kept open for anyone to consult or contribute to, without charge or obligation.
